Delivery Options

At Tyendinaga Propane, we offer two choices for your propane delivery schedule, Auto Delivery & Phone-In Delivery.

Regardless of your delivery schedule, we have a 24-hr emergency delivery service. Should you require propane after hours, call us at (613) 967-7881. Please note an emergency fee will apply for emergency deliveries for Phone-In customers.

1.

Auto Delivery

Deliveries are scheduled by the delivery department based on a “Degree Day System” that takes into account cold weather temperatures and estimated consumption. It does not take into account dampness, or wind during the Spring/Fall, therefore it would be helpful for you to “spot check” the percentage in your tanks during these two seasons. We only require a call if any appliances are added/removed that can change your propane usage (i.e. range, fireplace, etc.).

2.

Phone-In Delivery

Deliveries are monitored and requested by the customer for their own supply requirements. Please call when your gauge reads no less than 30%. Your delivery will be scheduled the week following your call.

Please note that if propane is not your only source of heat, our “Degree Day System” will not be able to accurately predict your propane usage. Customers who have an alternate heat source (i.e. woodstove, pellet stove, etc.) will be on the Phone-In Delivery method.

Monitors

We also provide the ultimate worry-free option through the installation of a tank monitor. This monitor provides our office with a daily tank-level reading from your tanks, ensuring you will never have to worry about running out. For more information, please give us a call at (613) 967-7881.

Automatic Payments

  • Pre-Authorized Credit Card: We automatically charge the account balance to a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). An authorization form will need to be filled out.
  • Pre-Authorized Debit: The account balance is automatically withdrawn from your bank account to clear the full balance owing. An authorization form will need to be filled out. Payment dates for this option are the 15st or 30th of each month.
  • Equal Billing: Set equal payments from September to June. The amount is an estimate and calculated based on the consumption of fuel used the previous heating season. If there is an outstanding balance at the end of the Equal Billing season, the customer is responsible for returning their account to a zero balance before the beginning of the next season. You may opt out of this program at any time. Equal Billing payments can be made using Credit Card, Pre-Authorized Debit or post-dated cheques.

Through Your Bank

  • Online banking: You can pay through your financial institution’s secure online banking system. Tyendinaga Propane is set-up with major banks that have an online payment system.
  • At your bank branch: Your account balance may be paid at most financial institutions, by bringing in the payment stub from your most recent invoice.
